HIGH RISK: most common sports for ACL injury

  • American football
  • handball
  • field hockey
  • skiing
  • volleyball
  • squash

RELATIVELY LOWER RISK: possible to tear the ACL, but not common

  • ice hockey
  • tennis
  • baseball
  • cross-country running

VERY LOW RISK: almost impossible to tear the ACL in these sports

  • swimming
  • golf
  • cycling
  • jogging
  • weight training
